eze Mattress is an exciting newcomer aiming to disrupt the mattress industry, which is no eze [sic] task given that there are over 175 online mattress brands competing for attention.
We met with the founders in the later stages of product development. The initial branding they had created was not meeting the vision and wouldn’t stand up against the competition. We differentiated the brand by focussing on the benefits of a good nights sleep when applied to performance creating the tag line ‘HARD DAYS DESERVE EZE NIGHTS’ long before other mattress companies made a similar connection and creating a relaxed and friendly logo design.
Through the unique visual and verbal language we created, including over 100 custom branded illustrations, we created a fun, quirky brand identity, allowing the brand to rise above the noise and connect with customers.
I created a Tone of Voice document which helped me tell the story of the brand with a unique visual and verbal language.
I created the story and wrote notes for the accompanying illustration for the website and got approval every step of the way ensuring that the illustrations required for the project were completed in a couple of days and stakeholders were happy with the content.
eze changed the sleep landscape and the visual and verbal identity and e-commerce website helped them reach an audience in a crowded space and connect with consumers on a deeper level.
